“Mountain-Moving Faith” - a prayer by Rev. William Scott Wiggins,Jr.
God of Creation, we come before you in faith, acknowledging your omnipotence,
omniscience and omnipresence. It is by Faith that we receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer,
and the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Guide.
We pray, dear God, that you would grant us the power of Faith that causes
the blind to see, the lame to walk, and the sick to receive healing. As we walk in our Faith journey, O Lord, teach us how to reach trustingly to the blessings
of our future in Christ Jesus, rather than the worldly treasurers of the here and now.
In these times, O Lord, help us to live faithfully beside all men and
women in love, respect honor and divine holiness. By Faith, we are confident that the high areas of difficulty shall be made low.
The crooked places of this world, straightened, and the Divine Will of God pursued.
So it is, Eternal God, that we pray thee to give us Mountain-Moving Faith. Faith that moves us forward by your Grace. Faith that lifts us above our human conditions into Christian commitment.
Faith that is unswerving, but brings joy unspeakable.
Faith that causes us to see the unseen and to lay hold on the not yet. We pray, Father, for Mountain-Moving Faith, that worships,
praises and glorifies your Holy Name.
Amen.
